Hardware 40 solar panels
Benefits the extra money will pay for playground equipment and school trips
Location Brighton, East Sussex
The whole community came together to help St Luke's school fund their solar roof.
Over 20 months, St Luke's raised more than £13,000 in donations from parents, former pupils, businesses and local well-wishers.
The school's solar panels will bring in over £2,000 per year for the next 20 years. And that'll pay for school trips and better playground equipment.
"We have never seen the students so enthusiastic about a project before - it's been surprising and incredible!"
- Stella Pentecost, parent.
With school budgets stretched, the solar savings gained by St Luke's have provided a much needed boost - all thanks to the involvement of the local community.
