Last November, we carpeted Parliament Square in pinwheels to show our love for onshore wind.
We had a lot of fun, and many of our supporters wanted to get in on the action too. Who can blame them - pinwheels, crafting, a chance to revert to our childhood selves and an opportunity to stand up for something we believe in, onshore wind.
So, on Valentine’s Day, we swapped red roses for pink pinwheels and united across the country to show our support for onshore wind. People (and even some four legged friends) gathered together to plant pinwheels in the shape of a heart.
Loads of people got involved - from kid's library groups to law firms to gardening groups to dogs! We've made a map of everyone who took part.
Thank you to everyone who got involved - Green Britain Centre, Stephen Scown LLP, Ecotricity, Good Energy, Manchester Friends of the Earth, Resilience Centre, Transition Buxton, South Dartmoor Community Energy, Bristol Greenpeace, Eco Eastleight and more. We loved seeing your photos and knowing that each of you support onshore wind as much as we do.
If you haven't signed our petition to support onshore wind - get going!
