Release a film and nab £10,000? All in a week's work for this Solar School.

In a dainty, quiet valley on the outskirts of Bath lies St Saviour’s infant school. And inside St Saviour’s infant school is this bunch of shade-donning, movie-making superstars.

Movie-making? Oh yes. One of the parents at the school just happens to be a videographer. He was so inspired by their determination to go solar, that he wanted to help them spread the word about their project. Take a look at the fabulous final product…

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the SASSI team (that’s Solar At Saint Saviours Infants), have just been awarded a monster £10,000 grant by Bath and West Community Energy. Now, that is what our carbon-cutting, solar dreams are made of.

This latest lump sum means that the SASSI team have raised 66% of their £20,000 target in just three and a half months.

We are so proud of the video and look forward to sharing it with the local community in the hope that they will want to invest in the future of our children and make it a renewable one!

Receiving the letter that informed us we’d won a major grant was quite special, but also seeing the children getting involved in the project, especially their enthusiasm in our video… that’s been a delight.
